Conventional Wrap Air-Oil Separators 

The economical conventional wrap design employs borosilicate microglass media wrapped around a support tube for dependable oil separation. When properly sized to the air flow rate and corresponding operating pressure of the compressor, it delivers:  

  • Clean initial installation pressure drop: 2–3 psi / 0.14-0.20 bar  
  • Collapse pressure resistance: 70 psi / 4.7 bar  
  • Residual oil carryover: 2–3 ppm / 2-3 mg/m^3

Depth Wrap Air-Oil Separators

Depth wrap versions are popular among European compressor manufacturers, and are constructed with additional layers of media wrapped around a support tube, for enhanced flow and performance in challenging conditions. By using multiple grades of borosilicate microglass media, depth wrap separators deliver superior airflow and oil separation. These high-performance filters are ideal for demanding applications where compressed air contains a higher than normal oil challenge rate.

Pleated Air-Oil Separators

Pleated separators use multiple layers of advanced pleated fiber glass medias to significantly increase effective coalescing surface area and airflow capacity, up to twice that of standard wrapped separators, while maintaining excellent oil removal performance.

Spin-On Air-Oil Separators

For simpler maintenance, spin-on separators house the separator element in a pressure-resistant canister, similar to a traditional oil filter. They are easy to replace and ideal for compact compressor designs with limited cabinet space.
